You can create an account and explore StacoGate before completing identity verification. Live payment acceptance and certain payout features may require approval first.
1. Why StacoGate verifies merchants
Identity and business verification helps StacoGate understand who is using the service, reduce fraud and misuse, protect merchants and customers, and support responsible operation of payment and payout features.
Verification also helps us review whether an account can use live features based on the information provided and the activity the merchant expects to process.
2. When verification applies
A merchant can register, verify their email and explore the dashboard before completing KYC. However, StacoGate may require approved identity verification before the merchant can create or use live payment flows, receive live payments, or request certain payouts.
If verification is still pending or additional information is required, the merchant dashboard will show the current status and the next action.
3. Information we may request
The information requested depends on the merchant and may include:
- full name and contact information;
- date of birth or other identity details where required;
- country of residence or business location;
- business name, website and business activity;
- expected payment volume or intended use of StacoGate;
- government-issued identification;
- proof of address or business supporting documents; and
- additional information needed to understand a merchant, transaction or payout.
StacoGate will only request information that is reasonably relevant to the review being performed.
4. How the review process works
After a merchant submits the required information, the application is reviewed by authorized StacoGate personnel.
The verification status may be:
- Pending — the submission is being reviewed.
- Approved — the merchant has completed the required verification for the applicable features.
- More information required — StacoGate needs an updated document, clarification or additional information.
- Rejected — the application could not be approved based on the information available or applicable requirements.
Merchants are notified through the dashboard and, where applicable, by email when the status changes.
5. If more information is required
A request for more information does not automatically mean that the account has been rejected. It may simply mean that a document is unclear, expired, incomplete, inconsistent with the account, or that additional context is needed.
The merchant dashboard will identify the requested update where possible. Submit only the information requested and make sure uploaded documents are readable and current.
6. Verification and live payments or payouts
Approval of identity verification does not guarantee that every payment method, payout destination, country, network or feature will always be available.
Availability can also depend on the merchant's configured shop, supported assets and networks, payout destination, transaction details, service limits and operational requirements.
StacoGate may pause or delay a payment or payout where additional review is reasonably necessary.
7. Ongoing account review
Verification is not necessarily a one-time event. StacoGate may request updated information later if account details change, documents expire, transaction activity differs materially from the information previously provided, or additional review is needed for security or compliance purposes.
Merchants should keep their account and business information accurate and up to date.
8. How verification documents are handled
Verification documents are treated as sensitive information. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who require it for review, support, security or compliance purposes.
StacoGate does not publish identity documents or make them available to other merchants or customers.
Never send passwords, API secret keys, wallet private keys or recovery phrases as part of a KYC submission.
9. Privacy and personal information
Personal and verification information is handled in accordance with the StacoGate Privacy Policy.
StacoGate does not sell merchant personal information or use identity documents for advertising or data-broker purposes.
10. Merchant responsibility
Merchants must provide accurate information and genuine documents. Do not submit altered, misleading or third-party documents unless you are specifically authorized to provide them.
Providing false or misleading information can result in verification being rejected or account features being restricted.
